Our Director, Amanda BachandAmanda Bachand has an extensive performing arts background both as a performer and teacher. Following high school, she earned a dance apprenticeship at The Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles where she studied jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, modern, voice, and acting. While dancing professionally, Amanda had the opportunity to work with Usher, Debbie Reynolds, Shirley MacLaine, Joan Collins, Sally Fields, Minnie Driver, Tracey Ullman and the cast and crew of Ally McBeal.
She continued to pursue her passion for the arts and earned her Bachelor’s of Music for Vocal Performance from California State University Northridge. Her vocal credits include music theater, solo concerts, and choral work. Amanda started teaching dance and music theater in California at the age of 17. She has shared her special gift of teaching with students of all ages and levels at various studios, community centers, after school programs, and summer camps throughout the greater Los Angeles area. In 2010, Amanda and her husband moved to North Carolina when she transitioned to teaching in public schools, including Ligon Middle School in Raleigh. Amanda holds a North Carolina teaching license in music (K-12) and theater (K-12). As a mom, she has seen the power of music and dance as a way to teach and entertain her young son. She would love to share her passion for the arts and education with you and your family. |

It is the mission of BACH And (music,movement, and more)
to inspire young children to develop their innate sense of self expression through the arts. Children of all ages will engage in the universal language of MUSIC and DANCE as they clap, sing, march, and build their artistic and intellectual skills. Each class will create a supportive and nurturing environment that will encourage children AND parents / caregivers to bond along side one another while making wonderful music and lasting memories. |
